We have photographed approx. 15,500 specimens of Indian butterflies, cicadas and other organisms from the Natural History Museum (London), Museum of Comparative Zoology (Harvard University), McGuire Centre for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity (Florida Museum of Natural History and University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida), Zoological Survey of India (Kolkata), and the University Museum (University of Tokyo). These images include label information of these historical specimens that were taken out of India long ago. The images and label information have thus been repatriated back to India and are available to research scientists. They have already been used in dozens of research papers. Write to us if you wish to learn more about these data repatriation efforts.
